Black Swan Arts Frome Gallery 2 above the Tourist Office.

The exhibition was inspired by an 18thC dye pattern book from Wallbridge Mill in Frome which included woad dyed samples and hand written recipes. The photographs highlight some of the work. Carol Griffin works with layers of handmade papers, wires and transluscent fabrics and the results are beautifully ethereal.  Ama Bolton hand felts the cosiest of blue fingerless mittens and is inspired by words, landscapes and archeology. I just had fun organising the exhibition. My glass tries to capture the layers of history, the intensity of the blues and the twisting and coiling of the wool.
